Candle Stick Jars - Easter 2013

Hi!  Today I'm just doing a quick post to show you how I filled and decorated my Candle Stick Jars for Easter.  I can't believe Easter is almost here...It's at the end of March this year...WOW!!!

I filled the first jar with Easter confetti then added a pink/white polka dot bow with a butterfly on top and a yellow sparkly metal bunny hanging in the center.  The second jar is filled with different sized plastic & glittered styrofoam Easter eggs then I added a yellow/white polka dot bow and a green sparkly metal bunny hanging in the center.  The third jar is filled with pretty speckled jelly bean Easter egg candies then I added a green/white polka dot bow and a pink sparkly metal bunny hanging in the center.  All of the items were purchased from Hobby Lobby except the candies which came from Target.  Oh and the ribbon for the bows are from Michaels Craft store.

Unless I can figure out something for the Spring/Summer season after Easter the next holiday will be 4th of July so I'll post the jars again then.

Happy Wednesday!

Candle Stick Jars - Valentine's Day

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

This morning I wanted to again share with you my Candle Stick Jars.  I have shared these jars with you before at Halloween when I had filled them with candy corn, added the letters BOO and tied black/white plaid bows to the tops.  They turned out so cute that I decided I wanted to leave them out year round and just change them up for each holiday.  I'll change the contents of the jars and the bows I tie to the top.  Each time I change them I will try to remember to post them for you, they really are cute and make a great holiday decoration.  If you want to learn how to make them click "Candle Stick Jars" on my side bar and you will find the instructions on my original post.

I forgot to take photos from the Christmas season.  I had filled the jars with small colorful ornaments and I tied red/green plaid bows to the tops.  They were really cute and the letters hanging on each jar spelled JOY.

For February, Valentine's Day, I filled each jar with something different.  Jar #1 had pink and red glittered hearts with bows, Jar #2 had pink, light pink sheer and red rose petals, and Jar #3 had multi colored heart gummy candies.  The bows I tied to the top of each jar were all different Valentine themed ribbons.  All of the items I used came from Michaels Craft Store.

This is how they turned out...

Thanks for stopping bye...

Fabulous Shoes - A Birthday Card

Hi everyone!  Hope your doing something fun for the "President's Day" long weekend!

I've been having fun with the new clear stamps I received last week.  They are the new Fabulous Shoes Collections from Katy Sue Designs.  They really are Fabulous!  I purchased the Collections #1 & #2 and I also bought the Fabulous Sentiments.  Each collection comes with two different shoes and a few individual swirls, leaves and flowers.

I finished one today so I'm going to share it with you now...this shoe is from the Collection #2 and is my favorite.  I really had fun coloring it with my Copics.  I also stamped the single flower that comes with the set, then used it as an embellishment which turned out really cute I think!

Here it is...Hope you like it...

Roses are Red Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Today I am going to show you the birthday card I made for my youngest daughter whose birthday was February 2.  She loves Saturated Canary Digital's so I used the new "Roses are Red Violets are Blue" for her card.

I saw a card made by Bev Rochester awhile back.  She is one of my favorite card makers; you can find her blog HERE.  I loved the layout of this card so I actually used her layout design and added my own touches to make it mine.  Her actual card can be found HERE.  Her blog is amazing, she is so very talented, please stop by and check her out...you won't be disappointed.

Here is my card...Enjoy...

Valentine's Day Book Cards

Good Morning!  Happy Monday!

Today I have four Valentine's Day Book Cards to show you.  I made them for my three daughters and my granddaughter. They are each similar in that the cards themselves are made the same but the images and papers are different for each one.  After each picture I will list the papers used, the image name and the copic markers I used to color them, and in the recipe area I will list all of the other items used for all four of the cards. Really the only real differences between them were the images, copic colors, charms, hearts by the letter in the frame and the papers used.  Hopefully it's not too confusing for you...

The bows I used were made using a technique I learned from a double bow tutorial which you can find HERE.  They were so easy and I think they look amazing...thanks so much to Jak Heath who made this tutorial on YouTube.

I also added a Valentine Starbucks card into the inside pocket of each card...
