Birthday Wishes Ava

This is a card I made with my new paper pack "Bird Song" by Mindy Terasawa.  It's all 8x8 papers and they are so cute.  I colored a digital stamp called "Ava" from Saturated Canary and  I bought a new edging punch from EK Success called "Bracket" which I also used on my card.

Can you see the skeleton leaf I tucked under the flowers?  I bought them from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The one I used here is a natural color, but I have also used them in other projects after I sprayed them with my Glimmer Mists from Tattered Angels.  You can make them any color and they look beautiful when dry.  If you have never been to the Wild Orchid Crafts web store you should check it out.  I added their link to my favorites.  They have the best selection of flowers anywhere!

Here's my card enjoy...

Purse Gift Card Holder

Today I made a purse shaped gift card holder.  I can't take credit for the purse shape because I copied it from something that I received as a gift. Sorry I don't know where it came from or who made it originally.  It was this basic shape, which I slightly modified, without any embellishments on it.  I cut my purse from My Minds Eye papers then I added some embellishments and a Happy Birthday Ticket to jazz it up.  Hope you like it!

Book Card - Girlfriends

I really love Book Cards.  Today I am showing one I made for my good friend "Syble" for her birthday.  I knew she would get a real kick out of this and of course neither of us is 29 years old or 110 lbs anymore...haha.

I had just received the new "Wedding Dress Tag" from Whimsy Stamps and was so excited to use it in this card.  They have some really great Metal Dies.  You can find their web site at whimsystamps.com.  It's such a cute dress and doesn't really have to be used only for weddings.  As you can see I used it in this birthday card as an element which I added into the pocket of the inside of the Book Card.  I found the directions for the Book Card on a blog tina46klix.blogspot.com.

Easel Box Card

Today I have been playing with my blog header for hours.  I've created two different headers, tried them both out and decided on this one.  I created it using a blog header template from a digital scrapbook web site called Scrap Girls www.scrapgirls.com.  I combined pieces from two different template kits...Blog Banner Layout Template Centered and Embrace both by Keri Schueller.  I used a digital paper pack from Sweet Shoppe Designs www.sweetshoppedesigns.com called You Make Me All I Was Ment To Be by Lauren Grien.

Now for my post of the day...I've seen a few different Easel Box Cards while viewing other blogs and really liked them.  I finally found "how to" instructions on Joanie McDonald's web site joaniscardsmadebyhand.blogspot.com.

I love how it's an Easel Card (one of my favorite cards to make) on top of a drawer/box.  I made this for my niece's 19th birthday and wanted to add a little something inside the drawer/box.  I cut a couple fancy squares, added a Birthday Sentiment, decorated with a cute flower that I made and stamped/colored a swirly corner.  She loved it! (Of course I also added a little special something $$$ that you don't see in the pictures).

I used another Saturated Canary Digital on this project...I love, love, love using them on my cards.  They are great because I can re-size them to fit any project I am working on and they are so darn cute.  I've used them for all kinds of projects...Bulletin Boards, Picture Frames, Presents and of course lots of cards.  Check them out at the Saturated Canary web site saturated-canary.myshopify.com.  I'm sure you will love them too!

Pennant Card

Today I have created my very first blog (this is my first post too).  For a long time I have wanted to do this so that I could share with my friends and family all of my fun creations!  I love all things crafty but I am currently excited about coloring stamped or digital printed pictures with my Copic pens. I then use those colored pictures and create beautiful cards or gift boxes/bags for family and friends.

My favorite digital pictures to color these days are from Saturated Canary by Krista Smith you can find her images on her web site saturated-canary.myshopify.com   I just can't get enough of them and already own more than 50 images from her.  They are just the cutest!!!

So today I am going to post a little pennant card I made recently.  My inspiration came from the many pennant banners I've seen.  I started out thinking of making a banner for my granddaughter's birthday, but then decided to turn one of the pennant pieces into a card (never did finish making the rest of the banner for my granddaughter!).  The card doesn't stand well but I love how it looks.  I didn't give it to anyone, instead I found these cute hanger clips at one of my favorite craft stores and I am going to hang it on my craft room wall as decoration.  I hope you like it...
